The book, organized by Professors Rômulo Bertuzzi, Patricia Chackur Brum, Christiano R.R. Alves and Adriano E. Lima-Silva and published by Editora Manole, has several chapters written by renowned researchers in the physical training, exercise physiology and nutrition areas. LAFAE had the honor of contributing to the chapter intitled "Tethered exercise and aerobic fitness: applications for evaluation and sport training". The book can be purchased at:

LAFAE EVALUATES CORINTHIANS AMERICANA TEAM IN THE BRAZILIAN LEAGUE OF FEMALE BASKETBALL - LBF
 
Through an agreement established between Unicamp and the women's basketball team, LAFAE conducts physiological evaluations and discussions with the technical team during the 2016/2017 season of the Women's Basketball League (LBF). This is the most important national championship in this sport and American team have been many titles in this competiton during another years. It is noteworthy that, during this agreement, the team consecrated Champion !!

 CAPES OF TESE AWARD IS GRANTED TO STUDENT AND ADVISOR OF LAFAE TEAM

In December 17th, 2016 occured the Capes Thesis Award. In this opportunity, the thesis entitled "Ergogenic response of melatonin in the nadir and acrophase of the spontaneous physical activity and its consequences of the Ikk Nk pathway and muscular tissue damage" was considered the Best Brazilian Thesis of the 2015 in Physical Education area. Author's thesis Dr. Wladimir Rafael Beck and his advisor Dr. Claudio A. Gobatto received the award. Congrats!!

LAFAE at 6th Brazilian Congress of Metabolism, Nutrition and Exercise - CONBRAMENE

LAFAE was present at the 6th Brazilian Congress of Metabolism, Nutrition and Exercise - CONBRAMENE that occured in November 2016, Londrina city. This is one of the most important brazilian meetings in exercise and nutrition areas and brings many of the expressive researchers in the national context. Several LAFAE studies were presented in oral sessions. LAFAE´s Professors also presented the Lab in 'Science Space' session.

LAFAE LEADERS DEVELOP RESEARCHES IN USA
​
Dr. Claudio A. Gobatto and Dr. B. Manchaddo-Gobatto conducted research in Madison-USA at the Laboratory of Genetics - Department of Genetics and Medical Genetics, University of Wisconsin. Their projects investigated aspects such as aging, genetics, spontaneous physical activity and physical capacities of rodents. The postdoctoral stages were developed in partnership with UW and supported by FAPESP. Even after returning to Brazil, the important scientific collaboration between LAFAE and the Laboratory of Genetics - UW has been maintained!!!

UNICAMP RESEARCH MAGAZINE

Paper published by LAFAE group in Scientific Reports (Nature Group) is highlighted in the 2nd Edition of the Unicamp Research Magazine. The Journal is an initiative of the PRP- Unicamp, which aims to disseminate high-impact research developed at  university. 62nd ANNUAL MEETING - ACSM
 
LAFAE's researchers and students participated at 62nd Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine - ACSM 2015. This is the most important international Congress of Sports Medicine of the world. Lafae team showed their studies about exercise training and physiological tests applied to rodents and high-performance athletes.

LAFAE STUDY WAS AWARDED IN 5th BRAZILIAN CONGRESS OF METABOLISM, NUTRITION AND EXERCISE

Researchers and students of LAFAE presented their studies at the 5th Brazilian Congress of Metabolism, Nutrition and Exercise - Londrina, PR. The study "Aerobic and anaerobic parameters obtained in a tethered canoe system: relationships with performance and polymorphisms of the ACE and ACTN3 genes', showed by Leonardo Henrique Dalcheco Messias was awarded (AA Med / GERAR Med Award). This study is included in a project supported by FAPESP (proc. no.2012/06355-2) and CNPq (proc. no. 472277/2011-1), coordinated by Dr. Fúlvia de Barros Manchado Gobatto.

LAFAE researchers and students participated at 18th Annual Congress of the European College of Sport Sciences in July 2013. This Meeting is organized by ECSS and occurs annually in some European country. The 18th edition was made in Barcelona, city of Olympic Games of 1992.

ELITE BRAZILIAN ENDURANCE AND SPRITER RUNNERS WERE EVALUATED BY LAFAE TEAM

LAFAE researchers conducted project "Standardization and validity of aerobic and anaerobic tests in field and laboratory using free and tethered running in endurance and sprint runners". In this way, elite brazilian runners and sprinters were evaluated by LAFAE Team. This scientific project was supported by FAPESP and CNPq.
